Obtaining Miner Mall Receipt Creation Access
Creating receipts as soon as good or services are physically received is essential because it prevents payment delays, ensures compliance with the Texas Prompt Payment Act, reduces late payment fees, and supports accurate financial processing. It also allows departments to quickly identify and address discrepancies such as missing, incorrect, or damaged items, strengthens internal controls by documenting what was truly received, and ensures that purchase orders, vendor disputes, and budget encumbrances are handled accurately and on time.
Step 1: Complete All Required Training Modules
Training is available on demand via recorded sessions at the links below or under the Miner Mall Desktop Receiving Training section on this page.
Once all 3 training modules have been completed, request the link to take the quiz.
- Send an email to dts-minermall-training@utep.edu requesting access to the Miner Mall Receiving quiz.
- Once the link is received, you may login to the quiz. The system will require your ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ credentials to access the quiz.
Once you have completed the quiz you will receive the completion/confirmation email. Please note that all questions must be answered correctly to receive the confirmation email. Once you receive the email confirming successful completion of the quiz, please save a copy of this email to your desktop, as this will be required for the next steps.

Step 4: Submit ServiceNow Ticket
Submit a ServiceNow ticket requesting access to create receipts in Miner Mall.
- Send an email to helpdesk@utep.edu.
- In subject line enter Receiving Training Access.
- Attach the confirmation email you received after completing the recorded training quiz.
- In the body of the email, please include the following request:
- Could you please assign this ticket to Purchasing?
- Once the email is sent to the Help Desk, you will receive a confirmation email containing the ticket number. This ticket number will be required when submitting the Miner Mall Access Changes form.

Step 5: Submit Miner Mall Access Changes Form
Submit the form using the following selections:
- Request Type: Access Permissions
- Short Description: Desktop Receiving
- Permission Requested: Desktop Receiving
- Justification: Desktop Receiving Needed for Department
- ServiceNow#: HelpDesk Ticket #
