Guest Parking
Guest parking is available for community members who are not ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ students, faculty, or staff and are attending an official, organized ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ event. Digital permits are issued to the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ host or event coordinator, who shares them with invited guests. All requests must be submitted by a ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ-affiliated host — guests should not submit requests on their own behalf.
This service is not for attendees.
Guest parking permits must be requested by the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ department hosting the guest.

Who is responsible for submitting the request?
The ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ event organizer or host must submit the request — not the guests. Guests do not have access to this system and should not attempt to request parking on their own.
How far in advance should I submit?
Submit your request at least two weeks before the event date. Requests received within 48 hours of the event are considered last-minute and cannot be guaranteed. Requests are reviewed approximately two weeks before the event. For urgent needs, contact the Parking Office directly — same-day turnaround may not be possible.
Are there additional requirements for student events?
Yes. Student events must also be approved on before a guest parking request is submitted.
What if my event involves a street closure?
Requests involving street closures will be reviewed for public safety impacts. PTS will provide recommendations as part of the review process.
After you submit
You will receive a confirmation email once your request is received. If you have not heard back within two business days, contact us at parking@utep.edu.
