Call for Student PRESENTATIONS: Share your edge at the couri Symposium!

Showcase your ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Edge story in a creative and interactive way at COURI! Students are invited to co-present with their faculty mentors and highlight their unique Edge Experiences through a dynamic digital poster; groups are also welcome! Whether your experience was through research, creative projects, leadership, community engagement, or any of the other Edge Experiences, we want to see how you’ve grown and gotten Your Edge!

Who Can Participate 

  • ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Enrolled Students 
  • Online ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Enrolled Students 
  • Dual Enrolled ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Students 
  • Groups of no more than four students

Poster Information 

  • Topic(s): Any ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Edge Experience (Experiences) 
    • Research, Scholarly, and Creative Inquiry 
    • On-Campus Employment 
    • Community Engagement 
    • Capstone Experience 
    • First – Year Experience 
    • Learning Communities 
    • Internships 
    • Student Leadership 
    • Study Abroad/Study Away 
  • Format: iPoster (online interactive format) 
  • Presenters: Student + Mentor co-presentations (highly encouraged), can also be in groups of no more than four students.
  • Limited spots: 30 in-person, 20 virtual 

Poster Requirements 

  • Posters will be created on an interactive online platform, iPoster, allowing you to be as visual and creative as you like. Here are some examples:   
  • This is not a traditional research poster, think storytelling, graphics, videos, and accessible communication for everyone. 
  • If selected, you will get a link to create your iPoster online. 

What to Submit 

  1. The title of your poster. 
  2. 200-word paragraph that includes: 
  3. Which Edge Experience(s) you completed. Note: some experiences overlap and that is allowed. 
  4. Which Edge Advantage(s) you gained through these experiences. 
  5. How these skills and advantages support your next step(s) (career, grad school, leadership role, etc.). 
  6. A few sentences on how you plan to make your poster visual and engaging using the iPoster platform (e.g., images, videos, diagrams, interactive elements). 

Your submission will help us prepare the program and ensure alignment with the creative goals of this showcase. Be Bold. Be Creative. Be You. Tell your story in a way that’s authentic, engaging, and accessible. Use visuals, audio, or videos, whatever best captures your journey!   

Deadline: March 8th at 11:59 PM MST, you will be notified of acceptance by March 27th.
