Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the landscape of teaching, research, and creative work, offering unprecedented opportunities for innovation across disciplines. Beyond Generative AI (GenAI), which includes tools like Copilot and ChatGPT, AI encompasses a wide range of applications—from data analytics and predictive modeling to intelligent tutoring systems and advanced simulations—that can accelerate discovery and improve research outcomes.
At ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ, we are committed to leveraging AI to advance cutting-edge research and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. AI technologies are being applied to enable large-scale data analysis, accelerate scientific discovery, and drive breakthroughs in fields such as healthcare, engineering, and social sciences—opening new avenues for innovation, problem-solving, and knowledge creation.
This site provides resources and guidance from the Office of Research and Innovation to help faculty leverage AI tools responsibly and effectively in their scholarly work. Together, we can harness these technologies to accelerate discovery, promote interdisciplinary research, and drive meaningful progress across our campus community while upholding academic integrity and advancing equity.
A three-session hands-on series designed to introduce researchers to computing at every scale.
Great research starts with a strong foundation. This three-part hands-on workshop series is designed to build yours, guiding you step by step through the computing platforms that power modern research. Start with HPC fundamentals on ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's Punakha cluster, advance to machine learning on the TACC Vista supercomputer, and explore how to take control of your own Large Language Models using NSF ACCESS cloud.

Register for the session that best fits your needs or attend all three to build a complete foundation.
Get hands-on with high-performance computing fundamentals. Learn how to navigate, submit, and manage research workloads on ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's Punakha cluster.
Develop practical machine learning skills on TACC Vista, through interactive Jupyter notebooks, learn how to train and evaluate ML models.
Explore Large Language Models and learn how to deploy private models for your own research using NSF ACCESS cloud with Jetstream2.
