Affordable Textbooks to Save Students Money Next Semester

Just in time to register for the spring 2023 semester, students can save money on textbooks through ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµâ€™s Open Education Resources. During registration, students can search for courses on Goldmine that use free textbooks or require all books to total less than $40, helping Miners manage their budgets for the upcoming semester.

Día de los Muertos Altar and Display

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµâ€™s Special Collections Department is recognizing Día de los Muertos with an altar and display in the third-floor gallery overlooking the atrium. The display is viewable during regular library hours.

Borderline - Southwest Premiere Ghost Story

Various times, Oct. 27-30 | June Sadowski Kruszewski Studio Theatre, Fox Fine Arts Center

The ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Department of Theatre and Dance presents Borderline, a ghost story written by Mexican-American playwright Andrew Siañez-De La O. This chilling tale follows a pair of storytelling siblings and a couple with a secret set in the cotton fields of Socorro, Texas.

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Percussion Ensemble in Concert

7:30-9 p.m. Oct. 30 | Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall

The percussion ensemble will perform in the Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and military, and free for ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ students, faculty and staff.

Military Mental Health Series: Finding Focus by ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ CAPS

The Military Mental Health Series are workshops and events that specifically engage military-affiliated students at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ on topics of mental health and well-being. This session is titled “Finding Focus: Maximizing Effort & Minimizing Anxiety.â€

Students Invited to Sign Up for Halloween Costume Contest

Students can flaunt their costumes on the runway in the Union Plaza at noon on Oct. 31. Sign up in the group or individual categories and be part of one of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµâ€™s favorite traditions!

Vote Early in Union East Building

Early voting booths will be available various dates Oct. 28-Nov. 4 in the Cactus Flower room in Union Building East. Refreshments and information will be provided at the Union Plaza 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Oct. 24-28 and Oct. 31.
