Dr. Watts is Executive Director of Veterinary Services and Institutional Biosafety and Co-"Director of Infectious Disease and Immunology at the Border Biomedical Research Center, University of Texas at El Paso.
Laboratory Director: Celinda R. Crews.
Ms. Crews has a Master of Science degree in biology from the University of Texas at El Paso. She has been active in mosquito research for several years as a volunteer and as a consultant. Cindy retired from a ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ staff position in 2012 and then began pursuing a mosquito adventure.
Entomology Resource: Shawn Dash
received his PhD from the University of Texas at El Paso and currently is an Assistant Professor at Hampton University, Virginia.
Staff
Marcela Diaz - ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ student at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ and works at MESL as a research technician. She helps coordinate "Fight the Bite" community outreach events. Joined in summer 2014 as a researcher in the Bridges to the Baccalaureate program and continued in the Bridges year-long program until 2015.
